Alabama Jass Hall of fame, Birmingham Zoo, Mc Wane Center, Vision Land Theme Park, De Sato Caverns park, Confederate Memorial park, Montgomery, Rosa Parks Library and Museums are some places for tourists to visit.
Vision Land Theme Park is 16 mi southwest of Birmingham and it has more than 20 rides including Rampage, a giant wooden roller coaster, the white water rapids of Wild River Gorge and the Stratus Fear Screamer.
Montgomery, 90 mi south of Birmingham is a city steeped in antebellum history. The visitor center shows a brief video covering the city’s history and things to do. Park Your car at the center and you can walk to many attractions.
Throughout Alabama old south dishes – fried chicken and catfish, barbecue, fatback, seasoned vegetables and corn bread weigh down the tables. But since the early 90s Birmingham has become known among southerners and increasingly outside region – for its sophisticated dining scene, attracting some of the South’s finest chefs.
